“Who looks outside, dreams; Who looks inside, awakens.”

If you are looking for a compassionate and caring therapist who is genuinely eager to assist you in your journey toward healing from difficult and challenging life experiences, you are absolutely in the right place!

My practice is a warm and spiritual environment that embraces everyone who walks through its doors, treating each individual with genuine kindness and utmost respect.

My passion is working deeply with those who are on the front lines in our community and our broader country. Veterans, first responders, dedicated teachers, and compassionate nurses hold a very special place in my heart and in my practice, as I am continuously inspired and motivated by their unwavering dedication and significant impact on the well-being of our community.

Additionally, as a mother myself, I intimately understand the numerous complexities and emotional nuances of the adjustment period that comes with welcoming a new family member into one’s life. I find great satisfaction in offering my support and guidance to new parents as they navigate this challenging yet profoundly rewarding and transformative journey of parenthood.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Somatic Therapy are two powerful therapeutic modalities that align well with my passion for supporting individuals in their healing journeys. EMDR is particularly effective for processing trauma and distressing memories. By facilitating bilateral stimulation, I help clients reprocess and integrate these experiences, reducing their emotional charge and enabling them to move forward in a healthier way.

Somatic Therapy complements this by focusing on the body’s innate wisdom and its role in emotional and psychological healing. It recognizes that trauma is not only stored in our minds but also manifests in physical sensations and tension within the body. Through body-focused techniques, clients can connect with these sensations, allowing for a deeper understanding of their emotional experiences. This holistic approach helps individuals reclaim their bodies as safe spaces, fostering a greater sense of agency and empowerment.

Together, EMDR and Somatic Therapy create a comprehensive framework for healing that addresses both cognitive and physiological aspects of trauma. This combination allows me to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client, facilitating profound transformations and promoting resilience. Witnessing clients reclaim their narratives and their sense of self is what drives my dedication to these therapies.

Above all, I take immense pride in creating a warm, safe, and supportive environment for my clients, where they can feel heard, understood, and empowered to embark on their journey towards healing and self-discovery..

In 2011, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Human Development from California State University, San Marcos, which provided me with a solid foundation in understanding the complexities of human behavior and relationships. After dedicating myself to caring for my daughters for eight fulfilling years, I recently completed my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, enabling me to further pursue my passion for helping families and individuals navigate their emotional and relational challenges.

My family and I recently moved to Tennessee, and I am blessed to be mentored and supervised by the one and only Joanna Dixon, LMFT. She allows me to gain experience and incredible clients through Matters Of The Heart Counseling in Gallatin, TN.

When I'm not at work, I take care of myself by actively exploring my own therapy journey, painting with watercolors in various styles, gardening both indoors and outdoors, and enjoying prolonged moments in nature. I usually find relaxation by trail riding through scenic landscapes, spending quality time in nature with my children, and cherishing the companionship of our beloved pets. Engaging in these activities helps me recharge and become the best therapist I can be for my valued clients.
